Chapter 58: Sumantra Conveys the Message of Rāma and Lakṣmaṇa
Text 2.58.18
धर्मनित्या यथाकालमग्न्यगारपरा भव।
देवि देवस्य पादौ च देववत्परिपालय।।
dharma-nityā yathā-kālam agny-agāra-parā bhava
devi devasya pādau ca devavat paripālaya
dharma-nityā = always fixed in dharma; yathā-kālam = at appropriate times; agni-agāra-parā bhava = protect the yajña-śālās; devi = O queen; devasya = of your lord; pādau ca = the feet; devavat = just as [you would serve] the Lord; paripālaya = serve.
O queen, always fixed in dharma, protect the yajña-śālā at appropriate times. Serve the feet of your lord just as [you would serve] the Lord.
