Chapter 59: Sumantra Describes the Agony of all Creatures in the Country
Text 2.59.29
लोहिताक्षं महाबाहुमामुक्तमणिकुण्डलम्।
रामं यदि न पश्येयं गमिष्यामि यमक्षयम्॥
lohitākṣaṁ mahā-bāhum āmukta-maṇi-kuṇḍalam
rāmaṁ yadi na paśyeyaṁ gamiṣyāmi yama-kṣayam
lohita-akṣam = His eyes are red; mahā-bāhum = His arms are stout; āmukta-maṇi-kuṇḍalam = He wears jewelled earrings; rāmam = Rāma; yadi = if; na = cannot; paśyeyam = I see; gamiṣyāmi = I will go; yama-kṣayam = to Yama’s abode.
His eyes are red. His arms are stout. He wears jewelled earrings. If I cannot see Rāma, I will go to Yama’s abode!
