Chapter 63: Daśaratha Remembering Killing a Sage’s Innocent Son

आकुलारुणतोयानि स्रोतांसि विमलान्यपि।
उन्मार्गजलवाहीनि बभूवुर्जलदागमे॥
ākulāruṇa-toyāni srotāṁsi vimalāny api
unmārga-jalavāhīni babhūvur jaladāgame
ākula-aruṇa-toyāni = fully reddish in color; srotāṁsi = the streams of water; vimalāni api = though pure; unmārga-jalavāhīni = carried the water out of course; babhūvuḥ = and became; jalada-āgame = when the clouds appeared.
When the clouds appeared, the streams of water though pure carried the water out of course and became fully reddish in color.
