Chapter 64: Daśaratha Gives up his Life in Remembrance of Lord Rāma
Text 2.64.29

अथाहमेकस्तं देशं नीत्वा तौ भृशदुःखितौ।
अस्पर्शयमहं पुत्रं तं मुनिं सह भार्यया॥

athāham ekas taṁ deśaṁ nītvā tau bhṛśa-duhkhitau
asparśayam ahaṁ putraṁ taṁ muniṁ saha bhāryayā

atha = then; aham ekaḥ = I alone; tam deśam = to that place; nītvā = took; tau = them; bhṛśa-duhkhitau = they were in extreme distress; asparśayam = touch; aham = I; putram tam = their son; munim = had the sage; saha bhāryayā = and his wife.

I alone then took them to that place. They were in extreme distress. I had the sage and his wife touch their son.
