Chapter 64: Daśaratha Gives up his Life in Remembrance of Lord Rāma

नाभिवादयसे माद्य न च मामभिभाषसे।
किं नु शेषे च भूमौ त्वं वत्स किं कुपितो ह्यसि॥
nābhivādayase mādya na ca mām abhibhāṣase
kiṁ nu śeṣe ca bhūmau tvaṁ vatsa kiṁ kupito hy asi
na = don’t; abhivādayase = you offer respects; mā = me; adya = now; na = don’t; ca = and; mām = to me; abhibhāṣase = you speak; kim nu = why; śeṣe ca = lying; bhūmau = on the ground; tvam = are you; vatsa = my child; kim kupitaḥ hi asi = are you angry.
You don’t offer me respects and you don’t speak to me now. Why are you lying on the ground, my child? Are you angry?
