Chapter 65: Daśaratha’s Wives Lament About his Departure
Text 2.65.3
राजानं स्तुवतां तेषामुदात्ताभिहिताशिषाम्।
प्रासादाभोगविस्तीर्णः स्तुतिशब्दो ह्यवर्तत॥
rājānam stuvatāṁ teṣām udāttābhihitāśiṣām
prāsādābhoga-vistīrṇaḥ stuti-śabdo hy avartata
rājānam = upon the king; stuvatām = while praising him; teṣām udātta-abhihita-āśiṣām = while they loudly pronounced their blessings; prāsāda-ābhoga-vistīrṇaḥ = throughout the entire palace 1; stuti-śabdaḥ hi = the sound of their glorification; avartata = spread.
While they loudly pronounced their blessings upon the king while praising him, the sound of their glorifications spread throughout the entire palace.
