Chapter 65: Daśaratha’s Wives Lament About his Departure
Text 2.65.4
ततस्तु स्तुवतां तेषां सूतानां पाणिवादकाः।
अपदानान्युदाहृत्य पाणिवादानवादयन्॥
tatas tu stuvatāṁ teṣāṁ sūtānāṁ pāṇi-vādakāḥ
apadānāny udāhṛtya pāṇi-vādān avādayan
tataḥ tu = then; stuvatām = glorified him; teṣām sūtānām = while the sūtas; pāṇi-vādakāḥ = melodious musicians; apadānāni = wonderful activities and contributions; ; udāhṛtya = narrated his; pāṇi-vādān avādayan = and clapped their hands [in tune].
Then while the sūtas glorified him, melodious musicians narrated his wonderful activities and contributions and clapped their hands [in tune].
