Chapter 70: Bharata Departs from Rājagṛha
Text 2.70.19
तस्मै हस्त्युत्तमांश्चित्रान्कम्बलानजिनानि च।
अभिसत्कृत्य कैकेयो भरताय धनं ददौ॥
tasmai hasty-uttamāṁś citrān kambalān ajināni ca
abhisatkṛtya kaikeyo bharatāya dhanaṁ dadau
tasmai1 hasti-uttamān = excellent elephants; citrān = a variety; kambalān = of blankets; ajināni = deer skin; ca = and; abhisatkṛtya = respectfully; kaikeyaḥ = the King of Kekaya; bharatāya = Bharata; dhanam = wealth [as gifts]; dadau = gave.
The King of Kekaya respectfully gave Bharata excellent elephants, a variety of blankets, deer skin and wealth [as gifts].
