Chapter 72: Kaikeyī Informs Bharata About Daśaratha’s Death
Text 2.72.40
क्व चेदानीं स धर्मात्मा कौसल्यानन्दवर्धनः।
लक्ष्मणेन सह भ्रात्रा सीतया च समं गतः॥
kva cedānīṁ sa dharmātmā kausalyānanda-vardhanaḥ
lakṣmaṇena saha bhrātrā sītayā ca samaṁ gataḥ
kva ca = where; idānīm = now; saḥ = that; dharma-ātmā = dhārmika soul; kausalya-ānanda-vardhanaḥ = who increases the delight of Kausalyā-devī; lakṣmaṇena = Lakṣmaṇa; saha = with; bhrātrā = Our brother; sītayā = Sītā-devī; ca = and; samam1 gataḥ = has gone.
Where has that dhārmika soul who increases the delight of Kausalyā-devī now gone with Our brother Lakṣmaṇa and Sītā-devī?
