Chapter 74: Bharata Condemns Kaikeyī
Text 2.74.10
यत्त्वया धार्मिको रामो नित्यं सत्यपरायणः।
वनं प्रस्थापितो दुःखात्पिता च त्रिदिवं गतः॥
yat tvayā dhārmiko rāmo nityaṁ satya-parāyaṇaḥ
vanaṁ prasthāpito duḥkhāt pitā ca tri-divaṁ gataḥ
yat = this is because; tvayā = you; dhārmikaḥ = dhārmika; rāmaḥ = Rāma; nityam = who is always; satya-parāyaṇaḥ = fixed on truthfulness; vanam = to the forest; prasthāpitaḥ = have sent; duḥkhāt = out of distress; pitā = My father; ca = and; tri-divam = to the heavens; gataḥ = has gone.
This is because you have sent dhārmika Rāma who is always fixed on truthfulness to the forest and My father has gone to the heavens out of distress.1
