Chapter 74: Bharata Condemns Kaikeyī
Text 2.74.18

इन्द्रोऽप्यश्रुनिपातं तं स्वगात्रे पुण्यगन्धिनम्।
सुरभिं मन्यते दृष्ट्वा भूयसीं तां सुरेश्वरः॥

indro ’py aśru-nipātaṁ taṁ sva-gātre puṇya-gandhinam
surabhiṁ manyate dṛṣṭvā bhūyasīṁ tāṁ sureśvaraḥ

indraḥ api = Indra; aśru-nipātam = drops of tear fallen; tam = the; sva-gātre = on his body; puṇya-gandhinam = pleasantly fragrant; surabhim = surabhi cow; manyate = considered; dṛṣṭvā = saw and; bhūyasīm = to be the most [affectionate being]; tām = the; sura-īśvaraḥ = the king of the devas.

The king of the devas, Indra, saw the pleasantly fragrant drops of tear fallen on his body and considered the surabhi cow to be the most [affectionate being].
