Chapter 77: Bharata and Śatrughna Lament About Daśaratha’s Departure

तात यस्मिन्निसृष्टोऽहं त्वया भ्रातरि राघवे।
तस्मिन्वनं प्रव्रजिते शून्ये त्यक्तोऽस्म्यहं त्वया॥
tāta yasmin nisṛṣṭo ’haṁ tvayā bhrātari rāghave
tasmin vanaṁ pravrajite śūnye tyakto ’smy ahaṁ tvayā
tāta = father; yasmin = to whom; nisṛṣṭaḥ aham tvayā = you had given Me; bhrātari = now that My brother; rāghave tasmin = Rāghava; vanam = to the forest; pravrajite = has been exiled; śūnye = into a void; tyaktaḥ = rejected; asmi = have been; aham = I; tvayā = by you.
Father, now that My brother Rāghava, to whom you had given Me, has been exiled to the forest, I have been rejected by you into a void.
