Chapter 77: Bharata and Śatrughna Lament About Daśaratha’s Departure
Text 2.77.19
तयोर्विलपितं श्रुत्वा व्यसनं चान्ववेक्ष्य तत्।
भृशमार्ततरा भूयः सर्व एवानुगामिनः॥
tayor vilapitaṁ śrutvā vyasanaṁ cānvavekṣya tat
bhṛśam ārtatarā bhūyaḥ sarva evānugāminaḥ
tayoḥ = of Bharata and Śatrughna; vilapitam = the lamentation; śrutvā = hearing; vyasanam = Their calamity; ca = and; anvavekṣya = noticing; tat bhṛśam = terrible; ārtatarāḥ = even more pained; bhūyaḥ = again became; sarve eva = all of Their; anugāminaḥ = followers.
Hearing the lamentation of Bharata and Śatrughna and noticing Their terrible calamity, all of Their followers again became even more pained.
