Chapter 77: Bharata and Śatrughna Lament About Daśaratha’s Departure

उत्थितौ च नरव्याघ्रौ प्रकाशेते यशस्विनौ।
वर्षातपपरिक्लिन्नौ पृथगिन्द्रध्वजाविव॥
utthitau ca nara-vyāghrau prakāśete yaśasvinau
varṣātapa-pariklinnau pṛthag-indra-dhvajāv iva
utthitau ca = stood up; nara-vyāghrau = princes; prakāśete = they appeared; yaśasvinau = when the two illustrious; varṣā-ātapa-pariklinnau = worn out by the rain and the sun; pṛthak-indra-dhvajau = two indra-dhvajas; iva = like.
[When] the two illustrious princes stood up, they appeared like two indra-dhvajas worn out by the rain and the sun.
