Chapter 78: Śatrughna Punishes Mantharā
Text 2.78.11
तीव्रमुत्पादितं दुःखं भ्रातॄणां मे तथा पितुः।
यया सेयं नृशंसस्य कर्मणः फलमश्नुताम्॥
tīvram utpāditaṁ duḥkhaṁ bhrātṝṇāṁ me tathā pituḥ
yayā seyaṁ nṛśaṁsasya karmaṇaḥ phalam aśnutām
tīvram = intense; utpāditam = attained; duḥkham = suffering; bhrātṝṇām = brothers; me = My; tathā = and; pituḥ = father; yayā = because of whom; sā = the woman; iyam = here is; nṛśaṁsasya = of her cruel; karmaṇaḥ = act [now]; phalam = the result; aśnutām = let her attain.
Here is the woman because of whom My brothers and father attained intense suffering. Let her attain the result of her cruel act [now].
