Chapter 78: Śatrughna Punishes Mantharā
Text 2.78.12
एवमुक्त्वा तु तेनाशु सखीजनसमावृता।
गृहीता बलवत्कुब्जा सा तद्गृहमनादयत्॥
evam uktvā tu tenāśu sakhī-jana-samāvṛtā
gṛhītā balavat kubjā sā tad gṛham anādayat
evam = this; uktvā tu = saying; tena = He; āśu = quickly; sakhī-jana-samāvṛtā = who was surrounded by her companions; gṛhītā = grabbed; balavat = and forcefully; kubjā = the hunchback; sā = she; tat gṛham = the [entire] house; anādayat = made resound [with her cries].
Saying this, He quickly and forcefully grabbed the hunchback who was surrounded by her companions. She made the [entire] house resound [with her cries].
