स तु हर्षात्तमुद्देशं जनौघो विपुलः प्रयान्।
अशोभत महावेगः समुद्र इव पर्वणि॥

sa tu harṣāt tam uddeśaṁ janaugho vipulaḥ prayān
aśobhata mahā-vegaḥ samudra iva parvaṇi

saḥ tu = the crowd; harṣāt = delightfully; tam uddeśam = to where Rāma was; jana-oghaḥ vipulaḥ = a large number of people; prayān = departed; aśobhata = shone; mahā-vegaḥ = the greatly forceful; samudraḥ = ocean; iva = like; parvaṇi = on a full moon night.

A large number of people delightfully departed to where Rāma was. The crowd shone like the greatly forceful ocean on a full moon night.

Though these works were difficult to perform, the people were delighted because they were excited to meet Rāma.
