Chapter 80: A Pathway for Bharata’s Journey is Constructed
Text 2.80.11
अचिरेणैव कालेन परिवाहान्बहूदकान्।
चक्रुर्बहुविधाकारान्सागरप्रतिमान्बहून्॥
acireṇaiva kālena parivāhān bahūdakān
cakrur bahu-vidhākārān sāgara-pratimān bahūn
acireṇa eva = in a short; kālena = time; parivāhān = channels with less water overflow; bahu-udakān = with lots of water; cakruḥ = they made; bahu-vidha-ākārān = water bodies of several shapes; sāgara-pratimān = resembling an ocean; bahūn = and many.
In a short time, they made channels with less water overflow with lots of water and many water bodies of several shapes resembling an ocean.
Parivāhān and bahu-vidhākārān also indicate that [the artisans] had constructed stairs for ponds situated at a distance.
