Chapter 81: Vasiṣṭha Summons Bharata
Text 2.81.11
स काञ्चनमयं पीठं सुखास्तरणसंवृतम्।
अध्यास्त सर्ववेदज्ञो दूताननुशशास च॥
sa kāñcanamayaṁ pīṭhaṁ sukhāstaraṇa-saṁvṛtam
adhyāsta sarva-vedajño dūtān anuśaśāsa ca
saḥ = that; kāñcanamayam = on a golden; pīṭham = throne; sukha-āstaraṇa-saṁvṛtam = covered with a comfortable cushion; adhyāsta = sat; sarva-vedajñaḥ = knower of all Vedas; dūtān = the messengers [as follows]; anuśaśāsa = commanded; ca = and.
That knower of all Vedas sat on a golden throne covered with a comfortable cushion and commanded the messengers [as follows].
