Chapter 86: Guha Relates Rāma’s Pastimes on the Bank of Gaṅgā
Text 2.86.18
सिद्धार्थाः पितरं वृत्तं तस्मिन्काले ह्युपस्थिते।
प्रेतकार्येषु सर्वेषु संस्करिष्यन्ति भूमिपम्॥
siddhārthāḥ pitaraṁ vṛttaṁ tasmin kāle hy upasthite
preta-kāryeṣu sarveṣu saṁskariṣyanti bhūmipam
siddha-arthāḥ = successful are they; pitaram vṛttam = for My departed father; tasmin kāle hi = when his time to die; upasthite = arrives; preta-kāryeṣu = of the final rites; sarveṣu = all; saṁskariṣyanti = who perform; bhūmipam = King Daśaratha.
Successful are they who perform all of the final rites for My departed father, King Daśaratha, when His time to die arrives.
