Chapter 88: Bharata Laments About Rāma’s Predicament
Text 2.88.29
अभिषेक्ष्यन्ति काकुत्स्थमयोध्यायां द्विजातयः।
अपि मे देवताः कुर्युरिमं सत्यं मनोरथम्॥
abhiṣekṣyanti kākutstham ayodhyāyāṁ dvijātayaḥ
api me devatāḥ kuryur imaṁ satyaṁ manoratham
abhiṣekṣyanti = will coronate; kākutstham = that descendant of Kakutstha; ayodhyāyām = in Ayodhyā; dvijātayaḥ = the twice-born; api = can; me = of Mine; devatāḥ = the demigods; kuryuḥ = make; imam = these; satyam = come true; manoratham = desires.
“The twice-born will coronate that descendant of Kakutstha in Ayodhyā. Can the demigods make these desires of Mine come true?
