Chapter 89: Bharata Crosses Gaṅgā and Reaches Prayāga
Text 2.89.2
शत्रुघ्नोत्तिष्ठ किं शेषे निषादाधिपतिं गुहम्।
शीघ्रमानय भद्रं ते तारयिष्यति वाहिनीम्॥
śatrughnottiṣṭha kiṁ śeṣe niṣādādhipatiṁ guham
śīghram ānaya bhadraṁ te tārayiṣyati vāhinīm
śatrughna = Śatrughna; uttiṣṭha = wake up; kim = why; śeṣe = are You sleeping; niṣāda-adhipatim = the ruler of the niṣādas; guham = Guha; śīghram = quickly; ānaya = bring; bhadram te = may there be auspiciousness unto You; tārayiṣyati = he will have us cross over; vāhinīm = the river Gaṅgā.
Śatrughna, may there be auspiciousness unto You! Wake up! Why are You sleeping? Quickly bring Guha, the ruler of the niṣādas. He will have us cross over the river Gaṅgā.
Bharata spoke, “Śatrughna, may there be auspiciousness unto You” to encourage Him.
