Canto 2 -
Ayodhyā-kāṇḍa
Chapter 89: Bharata Crosses Gaṅgā and Reaches Prayāga
Text 2.89.4

इति संवदतोरेवमन्योन्यं नरसिंहयोः।
आगम्य प्राञ्जलिः काले गुहो भरतमब्रवीत्॥

iti saṁvadator evam anyonyaṁ nara-siṁhayoḥ
āgamya prāñjaliḥ kāle guho bharatam abravīt

iti saṁvadatoḥ = were conversing; evam = thus; anyonyam = with each other; nara-siṁhayoḥ = while those two lions among men; āgamya = arrived; prāñjaliḥ = joined his palms in supplication; kāle = at the right time; guhaḥ = Guha; bharatam = to Bharata [as follows]; abravīt = and spoke.

While those two lions among men were thus conversing with each other, Guha arrived at the right time, joined his palms in supplication and spoke to Bharata [as follows].

Guha arrived at the right time, that is, at the time to depart.

GLOSS. Kāle [literally meaning “at the time”] indicates that Guha arrived when Bharata and Śatrughna remembered [Rāma].
