कच्चित्सुखं नदीतीरेऽवात्सीः काकुत्स्थ शर्वरीम्।
कच्चित्ते सहसैन्यस्य तावत्सर्वमनामयम्॥
kaccit sukhaṁ nadī-tīre ’vātsīḥ kākutstha śarvarīm
kaccit te saha-sainyasya tāvat sarvam anāmayam
kaccit = did; sukham = comfortably; nadī-tīre = on the bank of the river; avātsīḥ = You pass; kākutstha = O descendant of Kakutstha; śarvarīm = the night; kaccit = is; te = with You; saha-sainyasya = and Your army; tāvat = the entire 2; sarvam = everything; anāmayam = fine.
O descendant of Kakutstha, did You pass the entire night comfortably on the bank of the river? Is everything fine with You and Your army?
