sa śabdaḥ = the sound; dyām ca = residing in the sky; bhūmim = earth; ca = and; prāṇinām = of the creatures; śravaṇāni ca = the ears; viveśa = entered; uccāritaḥ = that issued from them; ślakṣṇaḥ = gentle; samaḥ = it was modulated; laya-guṇa-anvitaḥ = and nicely synchronized.

The gentle sound that issued from them entered the ears of the creatures residing in the sky and earth. It was modulated and nicely synchronized.

That sound issued from the vīṇās and so on. It was modulated, with no extremities in the seven svaras. It was nicely synchronized, that is, the dance, song and musical instrumentation stopped at the same time [and so on].
