Chapter 91: Bharadvāja’s Hospitality to Bharata, His Army and Family

हयान्गजान्खरानुष्ट्रांस्तथैव सुरभेः सुतान्।
अभोजयन्वाहनपास्तेषां भोज्यं यथाविधि॥
hayān gajān kharān uṣṭrāṁs tathaiva surabheḥ sutān
abhojayan vāhanapās teṣāṁ bhojyaṁ yathā-vidhi
hayān = horses; gajān = elephants; kharān = donkeys; uṣṭrān = camels; tathā eva = and; surabheḥ = of Surabhi; sutān = the son; abhojayan = gave; vāhanapāḥ = the caretakers of draught animals; teṣām bhojyam = food; yathā-vidhi = appropriate to each.
The caretakers of draught animals gave horses, elephants, donkeys, camels and the sons of Surabhi food appropriate to each.
These caretakers were empowered by the sage Bharadvāja. “The sons of Surabhi” were bulls.
