Chapter 93: Bharata Initiates a Search for Rāma’s Residence
Text 2.93.9
गिरेः सानूनि रम्याणि चित्रकूटस्य संप्रति।
वारणैरवमृद्यन्ते मामकैः पर्वतोपमैः॥
gireḥ sānūni ramyāṇi citrakūṭasya samprati
vāraṇair avamṛdyante māmakaiḥ parvatopamaiḥ
gireḥ = of the mountain; sānūni = summits; ramyāṇi = these pleasant; citrakūṭasya = Citrakūṭa; samprati = now; vāraṇaiḥ = elephants; avamṛdyante = are trampled; māmakaiḥ = by My; parvata-upamaiḥ = mountainlike.
These pleasant summits of the mountain Citrakūṭa are now trampled by My mountainlike elephants!
Bharata then described the forest to His brother Śatrughna as the relishable place of residence of Rāma from the next verse.
