Canto 2 -
Ayodhyā-kāṇḍa
Chapter 93: Bharata Initiates a Search for Rāma’s Residence
Text 2.93.16

स्यन्दनांस्तुरगोपेतान्सूतमुख्यैरधिष्ठितान्।
एतान्संपततः शीघ्रं पश्य शत्रुघ्न कानने॥

syandanāṁs turagopetān sūta-mukhyair adhiṣṭhitān
etān sampatataḥ śīghraṁ paśya śatrughna kānane

syandanān = these chariots; turaga-upetān = drawn by horses; sūta-mukhyaiḥ = by excellent charioteers; adhiṣṭhitān = commanded; etān = they; sampatataḥ = fly; śīghram = quickly; paśya = look at; śatrughna = Śatrughna; kānane = in the forest.

Śatrughna, look at these chariots drawn by horses. Commanded by excellent charioteers, they quickly fly in the forest.

In this verse Bharata points out that this was why [the birds] were frightened which He points out in the next verse.

[The chariots quickly] flew in the forest, that is, rode out of curiosity to see Rāma.
