Chapter 93: Bharata Initiates a Search for Rāma’s Residence
Text 2.93.19
मृगा मृगीभिः सहिता बहवः पृषता वने।
मनोज्ञरूपा लक्ष्यन्ते कुसुमैरिव चित्रिताः॥
mṛgā mṛgībhiḥ sahitā bahavaḥ pṛṣatā vane
manojña-rūpā lakṣyante kusumair iva citritāḥ
mṛgāḥ = male antelopes; mṛgībhiḥ sahitāḥ = with their females; bahavaḥ = many; pṛṣatāḥ = spotted; vane = in this forest; manojña-rūpāḥ = their forms are charming; lakṣyante = can be seen; kusumaiḥ = with flowers; iva = they look like; citritāḥ = they were painted.
In this forest many male spotted antelopes can be seen with their females. Their forms are charming. They look like they were painted with flowers.
