अदुष्टैर्भात्ययं शैलो बहुपक्षिसमायुतः॥
nānā-mṛga-gaṇa-dvīpi-tarakṣv-ṛkṣa-gaṇair vṛtaḥ
aduṣṭair bhāty ayaṁ śailo bahu-pakṣi-samāyutaḥ
nānā-mṛga-gaṇa-dvīpi-tarakṣu-ṛkṣa-gaṇaiḥ = many wild beasts, old and young tigers as well as bears; vṛtaḥ = to be surrounded; aduṣṭaiḥ = by nonviolent; bhāti = appears; ayam = this; śailaḥ = mountain; bahu-pakṣi-samāyutaḥ = filled with many birds.
Filled with many birds, this mountain appears to be surrounded by many nonviolent wild beasts, old and young tigers as well as bears.
The wild beasts had become nonviolent by the influence of the ascetics.
