Chapter 96: Lakṣmaṇa Notices Bharata’s Army

भजन्त्येते यथाकाममश्वानारुह्य शीघ्रगान्।
एते भ्राजन्ति संहृष्टा गजानारुह्य सादिनः॥
bhajanty ete yathā-kāmam aśvān āruhya śīghragān
ete bhrājanti saṁhṛṣṭā gajān āruhya sādinaḥ
bhajanti = approachingus; ete = these men; yathā-kāmam = and are happily; aśvān = horses; āruhya = have climbed; śīghragān = on swiftly running; ete = the; bhrājanti = shine; saṁhṛṣṭāḥ = in delight; gajān āruhya = on elephants; sādinaḥ = mahouts.
These men have climbed on swiftly running horses and are happily approaching us. The mahouts on elephants shine in delight.
