Chapter 96: Lakṣmaṇa Notices Bharata’s Army
Text 2.96.31
शरैर्निर्भिन्नहृदयान्कुञ्जरांस्तुरगांस्तथा।
श्वापदाः परिकर्षन्तु नरांश्च निहतान्मया॥
śarair nirbhinna-hṛdayān kuñjarāṁs turagāṁs tathā
śvāpadāḥ parikarṣantu narāṁś ca nihatān mayā
śaraiḥ = by My arrows; nirbhinna-hṛdayān = whose hearts are pierced; kuñjarān = the elephants; turagān = horses; tathā = and; śvāpadāḥ = let wild beasts; parikarṣantu = drag; narān ca = men; nihatān mayā = [and thus] killed by Me.
Let wild beasts drag the elephants, horses and men whose hearts are pierced by My arrows [and thus] killed by Me.
