Chapter 96: Lakṣmaṇa Notices Bharata’s Army

अद्यैतच्चित्रकूटस्य काननं निशितैः शरैः।
भिन्दञ्शत्रुशरीराणि करिष्ये शोणितोक्षितम्॥
adyaitac citrakūṭasya kānanaṁ niśitaiḥ śaraiḥ
bhindañ śatru-śarīrāṇi kariṣye śoṇitokṣitam
adya = now; etat citrakūṭasya kānanam = the forest of Citrakūṭa; niśitaiḥ śaraiḥ = with My sharp arrows; bhindan śatru-śarīrāṇi = by cutting the bodies of My enemies; kariṣye = I will; śoṇita-ukṣitam = moisten with their blood.
By cutting the bodies of My enemies with My sharp arrows, I will now moisten the forest of Citrakūṭa with their blood.
