Chapter 98: Bharata Locates Rāma’s Āśrama
Text 2.98.7

यावन्न चन्द्रसङ्काशं द्रक्ष्यामि शुभमाननम्।
भ्रातुः पद्मपलाशाक्षं न मे शान्तिर्भविष्यति॥

yāvan na candra-saṅkāśaṁ drakṣyāmi śubhānanam
bhrātuḥ padma-palāśākṣaṁ na me śāntir bhaviṣyati

yāvat = as long as; na = do not; candra-saṅkāśam =moonlike; drakṣyāmi = I see; śubha-ānanam = the auspicious face; bhrātuḥ = of My brother; padma-palāśa-akṣam = whose eyes resemble lotus leaves; na = no; me = I; śāntiḥ = peace; bhaviṣyati = will have.

As long as I do not see the auspicious moonlike face of My brother Rāma whose eyes resemble lotus leaves, I will have no peace.1

1 Candra-saṅkāśam indicates that Rāma’s face shines like the moon.
