Chapter 100: Rāma Instructs Bharata About the Duties of a King
Text 2.100.8
कच्चिच्छुश्रूषसे तात पितरं सत्यविक्रमम्॥
kaccic chuśrūṣase tāta pitaraṁ satya-vikramam
kaccit = are; śuśrūṣase = You attending to; tāta = dear child; pitaram = Our father; satya-vikramam = who is truly valiant.
Dear child, are You attending to Our father who is truly valiant?1
1 Rāma now revisits the first possible reason for Bharata’s arrival.
Disregarding His personal service to Their father, why did Bharata come to see [Rāma]?
