Chapter 100: Rāma Instructs Bharata About the Duties of a King
Text 2.100.60

यानि मिथ्याभिशस्तानां पतन्त्यस्राणि राघव।
तानि पुत्रपशून्घ्नन्ति प्रीत्यर्थमनुशासतः॥

yāni mithyābhiśastānāṁ patanty asrāṇi rāghava
tāni putra-paśūn ghnanti prīty-artham anuśāsataḥ

yāni = the citizens; mithyā-abhiśastānām = who have been falsely accused; patanti = that fall from [the eyes of]; asrāṇi = the tears; rāghava = O descendant of Raghu; tāni1 putra-paśūn = his sons and cattle; ghnanti = will destroy; prīti-artham = for the pleasure; anuśāsataḥ = of their ruler.

O descendant of Raghu, the tears that fall from [the eyes of] citizens, who have been falsely accused for the pleasure of their ruler, will destroy his sons and cattle.

The tears of those citizens who have been falsely accused because of the king’s lack of attention and for the mere enjoyment of the   ruler with no consideration of justice and injustice [will destroy  his sons and cattle].
