Chapter 102: Rāma Performs Śrāddha for King Daśaratha
Text 2.102.17
ततस्ते भ्रातरः सर्वे भृशमाश्वास्य राघवम्।
अब्रुवञ्जगतीभर्तुः क्रियतामुदकं पितुः॥
tatas te bhrātaraḥ sarve bhṛśam āśvāsya rāghavam
abruvañ jagatī-bhartuḥ kriyatām udakaṁ pituḥ
tataḥ = then; te bhrātaraḥ sarve = the three brothers; bhṛśam = greatly; āśvāsya = consoled; rāghavam = Rāghava; abruvan = and told; jagatī-bhartuḥ = the Lord of the world; kriyatām = please offer; udakam = water; pituḥ = to Your father.
Then the three brothers greatly consoled Rāghava and told the Lord of the world, “Please offer water to Your father.”
