Chapter 103: Rāma Meets His Mothers and Vasiṣṭha
Text 2.103.11
तस्य देवसमानस्य पार्थिवस्य महात्मनः।
नैतदौपयिकं मन्ये भुक्तभोगस्य भोजनम्॥
tasya deva-samānasya pārthivasya mahātmanaḥ
naitad aupayikaṁ manye bhukta-bhogasya bhojanam
tasya deva-samānasya = and who was equal to the devas; pārthivasya = for that king; mahātmanaḥ = who was a great soul; na = do not; etat = this is; aupayikam = appropriate 3; manye = I think that; bhukta-bhogasya = who had enjoyed [various] objects of enjoyment; bhojanam = food.
I do not think that this is appropriate food for that king who had enjoyed [various] objects of enjoyment, who was a great soul and who was equal to the devas.
