Chapter 103: Rāma Meets His Mothers and Vasiṣṭha
Text 2.103.19

ताः पाणिभिः सुखस्पर्शैर्मृद्वङ्गुलितलैः शुभैः।
प्रममार्जू रजः पृष्ठाद्रामस्यायतलोचनाः॥

tāḥ pāṇibhiḥ sukha-sparśair mṛdv-aṅgulitalaiḥ śubhaiḥ
pramamārjū rajaḥ pṛṣṭhād rāmasyāyata-locanāḥ

tāḥ = those; pāṇibhiḥ = with their hands; sukha-sparśaiḥ = which were pleasant to touch; mṛdu-aṅgulitalaiḥ = and which had tender fingers and palms; śubhaiḥ = auspicious; pramamārjuḥ = wiped; rajaḥ = the dust; pṛṣṭhāt rāmasya = off Rāma’s back; āyata-locanāḥ = wide-eyed ladies.

Those wide-eyed ladies wiped the dust off Rāma’s back with their auspicious hands which were pleasant to touch and which had tender fingers and palms.
