ततो जघन्यं सहितैः समन्त्रिभिः पुरप्रधानैश्च सहैव सैनिकैः।
जनेन धर्मज्ञतमेन धर्मवानुपोपविष्टो भरतस्तदाग्रजम्॥
tato jaghanyaṁ sahitaiḥ samantribhiḥ
pura-pradhānaiś ca sahaiva sainikaiḥ
janena dharmajñatamena dharmavān
upopaviṣṭo bharatas tadāgrajam
tataḥ = then; jaghanyam = and below; sahitaiḥ = accompanied; samantribhiḥ = ministers; pura-pradhānaiḥ ca saha eva = and by the chief residents of the city; ca = and; sainikaiḥ = soldiers; janena = people; dharmajñatamena = who best knew dharma; dharmavān = the dhārmika; upopaviṣṭaḥ = sat near; bharataḥ = Bharata; tadā1 agrajam = His elder brother.
Then the dhārmika Bharata, accompanied by the chief residents of the city, ministers, soldiers and people who best knew dharma, sat near and below His elder brother.

Jaghanyam [also] indicates that Bharata sat after [and below] Vasiṣṭha and Rāma.
