Chapter 104: Bharata Beseeches Rāma to Rule the Kingdom
Text 2.104.15
तं मत्तमिव मातङ्गं निःश्वसन्तं पुनः पुनः।
भ्रातरं भरतं रामः परिष्वज्येदमब्रवीत्॥
taṁ mattam iva mātaṅgaṁ niḥśvasantaṁ punaḥ punaḥ
bhrātaraṁ bharataṁ rāmaḥ pariṣvajyedam abravīt
tam mattam = excited; iva = like; mātaṅgam = an elephant; niḥśvasantam = who was sighing; punaḥ punaḥ = repeatedly; bhrātaram = His brother; bharatam = Bharata; rāmaḥ = Rāma; pariṣvajya = embraced; idam = the following words; abravīt = and spoke.
Rāma embraced His brother Bharata who was sighing repeatedly like an excited elephant and spoke the following words.
