Chapter 104: Bharata Beseeches Rāma to Rule the Kingdom
Text 2.104.24
एवं कृत्वा महाराजो विभागं लोकसंनिधौ।
व्यादिश्य च महातेजा दिवं दशरथो गतः॥
evaṁ kṛtvā mahā-rājo vibhāgaṁ loka-sannidhau
vyādiśya ca mahā-tejā divaṁ daśaratho gataḥ
evam kṛtvā = has made this; mahā-rājaḥ = Mahārāja; vibhāgam = this division [of responsibilities between Us]; loka-sannidhau = in public; vyādiśya = ordered [Me] and; ca = and then; mahā-tejāḥ = the greatly powerful; divam = to the heavens; daśarathaḥ = Daśaratha; gataḥ = departed.
The greatly powerful Mahārāja Daśaratha has made this division [of responsibilities between Us], ordered [Me] in public and departed to the heavens.
