Chapter 105: Rāma Consoles Bharata With Spiritual Instructions

कर्मभिस्तु शुभैरिष्टैः क्रतुभिश्चाप्तदक्षिणैः।
स्वर्गं दशरथः प्राप्तः पिता नः पृथिवीपतिः॥
karmabhis tu śubhair iṣṭaiḥ kratubhiś cāpta-dakṣiṇaiḥ
svargaṁ daśarathaḥ prāptaḥ pitā naḥ pṛthivī-patiḥ
karmabhiḥ tu = activities; śubhaiḥ = having performed auspicious; iṣṭaiḥ = desired by the people; kratubhiḥ = fire sacrifices; ca = and; āpta-dakṣiṇaiḥ = furnished with abundant gifts; svargam = to the heavens; daśarathaḥ = Daśaratha; prāptaḥ = has gone; pitā = father; naḥ = Our; pṛthivī-patiḥ = King.
Having performed auspicious activities desired by the people and fire sacrifices furnished with abundant gifts, Our father King Daśaratha has gone to the heavens.
Daśaratha performed auspicious activities such as constructing tanks by highways.
