Chapter 110: Vasiṣṭha Requests Rāma to Accept the Throne

नानावृष्टिर्बभूवास्मिन्न दुर्भिक्षं सतां वरे।
अनरण्ये महाराजे तस्करो नापि कश्चन॥
nānāvṛṣṭir babhūvāsmin na durbhikṣaṁ satāṁ vare
anaraṇye mahā-rāje taskaro nāpi kaścana
nānāvṛṣṭiḥ babhūva = there was no drought; asmin = during the time of; na = no; durbhikṣam = famine; satām = of the saintly kings; vare = the best; anaraṇye = Anaraṇya; mahā-rāje = Mahārāja; taskaraḥ = a thief; na = nor; api kaścana = even.
“During the time of Mahārāja Anaraṇya, the best of the saintly kings, there was no drought, no famine, nor even a thief.
