Chapter 113: Bharata Returns to Ayodhyā
Text 2.113.18
तमृर्षिं तु महात्मानमुक्तवाक्यं कृताञ्जलिः।
आमन्त्रयितुमारेभे चरणावुपगृह्य च॥
tam ṛṣiṁ tu mahātmānam ukta-vākyaṁ kṛtāñjaliḥ
āmantrayitum ārebhe caraṇāv upagṛhya ca
tam ṛṣim tu = from the sage; mahā-ātmānam = a great soul; ukta-vākyam = who had spoken these words; kṛta-añjaliḥ = Bharata joined His palms in supplication; āmantrayitum = to take permission; ārebhe = prepared; caraṇau = the feet of Bharadvāja; upagṛhya = having touched; ca = and.
Having touched the feet of Bharadvāja, Bharata joined His palms in supplication and prepared to take permission from the sage, a great soul who had spoken these words.1
