Chapter 114: Ayodhyā’s loss of Splendor

स्निग्धगम्भीरघोषेण स्यन्दनेनोपयान्प्रभुः।
अयोध्यां भरतः क्षिप्रं प्रविवेश महायशाः॥
snigdha-gambhīra-ghoṣeṇa syandanenopayān prabhuḥ
ayodhyāṁ bharataḥ kṣipraṁ praviveśa mahā-yaśāḥ
snigdha-gambhīra-ghoṣeṇa = that produced a gentle and grave sound; syandanena = on a chariot; upayān = approaching; prabhuḥ = Lord; ayodhyām = Ayodhyā; bharataḥ = Bharata; kṣipram = quickly; praviveśa = entered [the city]; mahā-yaśāḥ = the greatly illustrious.
Approaching Ayodhyā on a chariot that produced a gentle and grave sound, the greatly illustrious Lord Bharata quickly entered [the city].
In this chapter, the author elaborately describes what was stated in the last verse of the previous chapter.
