Chapter 115: Bharata Goes to Nandigrāma
Text 2.115.19
ततो निक्षिप्तभारोऽहं राघवेण समागतः।
निवेद्य गुरवे राज्यं भजिष्ये गुरुवृत्तिताम्॥
tato nikṣipta-bhāro ’haṁ rāghaveṇa samāgataḥ
nivedya gurave rājyaṁ bhajiṣye guru-vṛttitām
tataḥ = when; nikṣipta-bhāraḥ = who have been given this burden; aham = I; rāghaveṇa = Rāghava; samāgataḥ = I meet; nivedya = will hand over; gurave = to My guru; rājyam = the kingdom; bhajiṣye = and engage; guru-vṛttitām = in service to My guru.
When I meet Rāghava, I who have been given this burden will hand over the kingdom to My guru and engage in service to My guru.
Bharata wanted to return the kingdom to Rāma and serve Him as He would serve His father.
