Chapter 116: The Sages Depart from Citrakūṭa
Text 2.116.10
त्वन्निमित्तमिदं तावत्तापसान्प्रति वर्तते।
रक्षोभ्यस्तेन संविग्नाः कथयन्ति मिथः कथाः॥
tvan-nimittam idaṁ tāvat tāpasān prati vartate
rakṣobhyas tena saṁvignāḥ kathayanti mithaḥ kathāḥ
tvat-nimittam = because of You; idam = the following disturbances; tāvat = factually; tāpasān prati = on the ascetics; vartate = have come about; rakṣobhyaḥ = from the rākṣasas; tena = therefore; saṁvignāḥ = worried about these disturbances; kathayanti mithaḥ kathāḥ = the ascetics are talking about them in privacy.
The following disturbances from the rākṣasas on the ascetics have actually come about because of You. Worried about these disturbances, the ascetics are therefore talking about them in privacy.
