Chapter 116: The Sages Depart from Citrakūṭa
Text 2.116.15
अप्रशस्तैरशुचिभिः संप्रयोज्य च तापसान्।
प्रतिघ्नन्त्यपरान्क्षिप्रमनार्याः पुरतः स्थिताः॥
apraśastair aśucibhiḥ samprayojya ca tāpasān
pratighnanty aparān kṣipram anāryāḥ purataḥ sthitāḥ
apraśastaiḥ = inauspicious; aśucibhiḥ = unclean items; samprayojya = throwing; ca = and; tāpasān = at the ascetics; pratighnanti = and torment them; aparān = gentle; kṣipram = quickly; anāryāḥ = those uncivilized rākṣasas; purataḥ sthitāḥ = come in front of them.
Throwing inauspicious and unclean items at the gentle ascetics, those uncivilized rākṣasas quickly come in front of them and torment them.1
