Chapter 117: Anasūyā Instructs Sītā About Strī-dharma
Text 2.117.19
अभिवाद्य च वैदेही तापसीं तामनिन्दिताम्।
बद्धाञ्जलिपुटा हृष्टा पर्यपृच्छदनामयम्॥
abhivādya ca vaidehī tāpasīṁ tām aninditām
baddhāñjali-puṭā hṛṣṭā paryapṛcchad anāmayam
abhivādya = offered her obeisances; ca = and; vaidehī = Vaidehī; tāpasīm tām = ascetic lady; aninditām = unto the irreproachable; baddha-añjali-puṭā = with her palms joined in supplication; hṛṣṭā = happily; paryapṛcchat = inquired about her; anāmayam = health 1.
Vaidehī offered her obeisances unto that irreproachable ascetic lady with her palms joined in supplication, and happily inquired about her health.
